Quick and Easy Crack Chicken
This is your typical crack chicken recipe without the crock pot / slow cooker. Think of this recipe sort of as a chicken bacon ranch casserole served on a bun.

Equipment
- 1 Medium pot
- 2 baking sheet
Ingredients
Ingredients to be cooked
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast or thigh works
- 0.5 lbs bacon 4-8 slices per your preference
Ingredients to be combined
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese mild or sharp
- 5 stems green onion
- 1 packet ranch seasoning
Other ingredients
- 4-8 buns however many you will need
Optional toppings
- Cheese
- Pickles
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 425 ℉.
- Chop green onions into think slices
- Shred cheese if applicable
- Dump cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, and the ranch seasoning packet into the medium pot and set aside
Cooking
- Place the chicken and bacon on separate baking sheets and insert them both into the oven at the same time.
- Remove the bacon once it is fully cooked (about 20 minutes). – Use a knife to chop the bacon into tiny bits
- Remove the chicken once it is fully cooked (about 30 minutes). – Shred the chicken using a fork or shredders
Finishing it up
- Place the medium pot over medium-low heat
- Add shredded chicken and chopped bacon to the pot
- Slowly stir until combined. It's done! Don't forget to turn off the stove and oven now that you're done cooking.
Serving
- Scoop the crack chicken onto a bun and add any desired toppings. – I personally like swiss cheese and pickles on mine
